Ashtanga Vinyasa, Half Primary Series

NOTES
The Ashtanga Vinyasa system comes from Sri K. Pottabhi Jois, in Mysore India. It's a series of yoga shapes, or 'asanas' of increasing difficulty that work to strengthen, cleanse + purify the body in preparation for meditation and other more subtle yoga practices. Traditionally it's not led like in Tony's class, but rather the teacher gives a new pose in the sequence, only once the student can confidently do the prior pose. So even though this not the full primary series, it's still very, very challenging! Move at your own pace, and know that this practice is designed to be done daily. Move at your own pace, and be kind to your body!
